Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

TimeLEFT is a movie countdown app for iPhone. This policy explains what data is used, how it is handled, and what we do not collect.

What We Do Not Collect

TimeLEFT does not collect, store, or transmit personal information. Specifically:

Session Data

When you start a movie session, TimeLEFT saves your session state locally on your device — including the movie title, runtime, and timer position. This data is stored using Apple's standard on-device storage and never leaves your device. It is not accessible to us.

Motion Sensor

TimeLEFT uses your iPhone's accelerometer to detect whether you have stepped away during a session. This is used only to offer a timer adjustment prompt if you return after being away. Motion data is processed entirely on your device. It is never stored between sessions and is never transmitted anywhere.

Live Activities

TimeLEFT displays a countdown on your lock screen using Apple's Live Activities feature. This uses your current session's end time, which remains on your device. TimeLEFT does not use a push notification server for Live Activities — all updates come directly from the app on your device.

Audio

TimeLEFT plays a local tick sound during sessions using a bundled audio file. The app does not record audio or access your microphone.

Third-Party Services — TMDb

TimeLEFT uses the TMDb API (The Movie Database) to search for movies and retrieve runtime and poster information. When you search for a movie, your search query is sent to TMDb's servers over HTTPS. TMDb may log this request as part of their standard API operation.

TimeLEFT does not control TMDb's data practices. Please review TMDb's privacy policy at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.

Children

TimeLEFT does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
